THE 1960s BEEHIVE FRENCH TWIST
YOU WILL NEED
Pins / Grips / Comb / Hairspray / Soft brush / Flowers, Scarf or any other hair accessory
STEP 1
Section the hair and back comb from route to tip (so its standing up right). Hair spray each section. Its harder to work on freshly washed hair so ideally have day old hair, otherwise you’ll have to use a lot of hairspray!!
STEP 2
With the soft brush sweep all the hair, at the back of the head to one side, being careful not to brush all the backcombing out. Grip up the centre with criss-cross grips. Leave the top section alone for the moment.
STEP 3
Again leave the top section alone. Bring all the hair that you swept over to the left back over to the right twisting it back on itself into a twist.
STEP 4
Pin all the way up the join where the twist meets the head.
STEP 5
With the soft brush smooth the top layer and brush the top section back. Look in the mirror and adjust the hight and shape of the beehive and then once you are happy twist and secure the section downwards, just like you did in step 3 (just at a different angle).
STEP 6
Tidy up any wispy bits with hairspray or extra pins/grips and check it out in the mirror. If there is any area that you don’t like then just whack on a hair accessory or two.
GOOD LUCK! Let me see how you get on and post pictures of you and your hair!
